WHEN THE PEOPLE SERVING OTHERS ARE RUNNING ON EMPTY
THE MISSION SUFFERS
You said yes to the mission, but no one told you how much it would ask of you
We come alongside nonprofits and ministries to strengthen their people, their capacity & their impact
EXPLORE HOW WE SUPPORT YOUR MISSION
Every Mission Has a Story
After more than 20 years serving in nonprofit organizations in the field of early childhood development, Cultivate Overflow co-founder Cassia deeply believed in the mission of supporting young children, children with special needs, and their families. She loved the work and the people she served, and she carried a strong desire to make a difference.
But somewhere along the way, the passion that once fueled her slowly turned into exhaustion.
One day, she found herself standing in the middle of Walmart crying over a simple mistake that normally would not have mattered. The pressure had become too heavy. The constant demands, the emotional weight of serving others, and the feeling that the work was never enough had finally caught up with her.
In that moment, she felt God whisper:
“Quit your job today.”
And she did.
Not because she stopped caring.
Not because the mission no longer mattered.
But because burnout had taken more from her than she realized.
As she began sharing her story, she discovered something heartbreaking:
she was far from alone.
Again and again, she heard stories from nonprofit leaders, staff, volunteers, and caregivers who quietly carried the same exhaustion while continuing to pour into others every day. Stories of compassion fatigue, isolation, and feeling like they had nothing left to give. But also stories of resilience, healing, purpose, and hope.
Cultivate Overflow was born from the belief that the people carrying the mission deserve support too.
Today, Cassia has found renewed hope and purpose through helping others stay healthy, supported, and sustained in the work they feel called to do.
We know every story looks different
Some people are burned out
Some are barely holding on
Some have found rhythms and support systems that help them thrive
Wherever you find yourself, your story matters
We would love to hear it
WHY WE EXIST
Workers are burned out
-Burnout and workforce strain are among the most pressing challenges facing nonprofit organizations today
-Sector-wide research shows these issues significantly impact staff wellbeing and retention
-When the people serving others are supported and cared for, the mission can thrive.

-Nonprofits across the country are facing increasing demand, limited funding, and ongoing fundraising challenges
-With the right support and systems, even the strongest missions can grow and sustain their impact.

Connection Matters
-Many nonprofit leaders are carrying the mission alone
-Across the sector, leaders often report feeling isolated in their roles, with limited opportunities for meaningful collaboration and shared support
-Greater impact happens when we work together
